The company
Our client is a well-backed, early-stage technology company building a privacy-first digital identity and data infrastructure platform. Its architecture uses zero-knowledge encryption to make surveillance mathematically impossible while enabling secure, consent-driven data sharing. The business is pursuing a dual-market strategy across the UK and the UAE, with sovereign hosting and government deployment partnerships already in place, and a platform spanning government services, healthcare, financial services and cross-border identity.
This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to shape a category-defining product and join the executive team as a full voting board director.
The role
As Chief Digital Officer you will own product, user experience and customer engagement end to end. You will translate a bold zero-knowledge, user-sovereign vision into a product that wins in the market, and build the customer engine that turns technical differentiation into commercial traction and retention. You will be the CEO's principal partner on product and go-to-market, and a full voting member of the board.
What you will own
- Product strategy and roadmap across a large, multi-wave platform, sequenced from foundation capabilities through to industry and integration modules.
- The UX and design standard across web, mobile and embedded touchpoints, including design systems, user research and accessibility.
- Customer onboarding, implementation methodology and customer success, with retention and reference-customer programmes that support fundraising and sales.
- Standards and interoperability strategy across the modern identity stack, including eIDAS, OIDC and W3C DID and Verifiable Credentials.
- Board-level contribution to strategy, governance and investor engagement, alongside building your product, design and customer success functions from the ground up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
