Chief Engineer – operational area - east London

Are you looking to take your career up a gear? If so, we may have the opportunity just for you – reporting to the Engineering Director you will be one of three Chief Engineers at the heart of delivering these services.
A summary:
- You’ll advocate for the highest engineering standards possible, while acting as a key stakeholder in the day-to-day operational management of multiple engineering leaders across our business.
- You’ll be passionate in ensuring our practice is robust, “future proof” and astutely developed in-line with industry developments.
- You’ll need to ensure that engineering is managed efficiently.
- You’ll be out and about in the depots.
- A visible presence is crucial – and it will give you an acute understanding of our journey as a department, and as a wider-business.
- Leading on our strategic priorities and showcasing our company values will be a daily priority for you.
What we need from you:
- A well-established, senior Engineering leader with an excellent technical knowledge.
- Ideally you’ll have PCV experience (though not essential), as we can teach you the bus part if you’re in fleet management in an alternative field.
- You’ll be able to evidence your ability to build high performing teams, and provide trusted, inclusive and collaborative leadership.
- Experience in personal development and performance improvement at a senior level.
- A commercial awareness relating to HSQE, IOSH, VOSA and ideally – an understanding of TfL/DfT policy and requirements.
- Proven track record in multisite engineering management.
- An ability to work within our Company values.
