Chief Executive Advisor, Operational Excellence
Senior Advisory Role for Leadership Effectiveness and Operational Excellence
This is a senior advisory opportunity for an experienced executive who can help a growing organisation strengthen leadership effectiveness and improve operational performance at the same time. Working closely with the CEO and executive team, you will support better decision-making, stronger cross-functional alignment, and more disciplined execution across the business.
Important scope clarification: This is not an appointment as Chief Executive Officer. It is a senior advisory role focused on operational excellence, executive coaching, and leadership support within an existing executive structure.
The Client or Stakeholder Problem You’ll Help Solve
Our client is a dynamic, growth-focused organisation operating in an environment where leadership quality and operational discipline both matter. As the business scales, senior leaders need a trusted advisor who can help them sharpen leadership capability, improve team effectiveness, and identify practical ways to strengthen operational performance. This role is designed for someone who can bridge executive coaching with operational improvement, helping the CEO and leadership team move from ambition to aligned execution.
Why Your Background Matters
Your experience in VP, C-suite, or equivalent senior leadership roles will be valuable because this role requires credibility with senior decision-makers. You will be engaging leaders who need thoughtful challenge, practical guidance, and support in translating strategy into day-to-day organisational performance. If you have led operational initiatives, improved business performance, coached senior stakeholders, or supported organisational change in complex environments, your background may be especially relevant here.
What You’ll Be Trusted To Do
- Provide one-to-one coaching and structured guidance to senior leaders and executive stakeholders
- Support leadership teams in improving collaboration, decision-making, and overall leadership effectiveness
- Advise the CEO and executive team on operational excellence priorities that can improve efficiency, alignment, and sustainable growth
- Work with senior management to identify opportunities to strengthen processes, reduce operational friction, and support strategic execution
- Contribute insight on organisational performance, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
- Support cross-functional improvement efforts across areas such as operations, finance, HR, and compliance alignment, while working within the scope of an advisory role
- Help leadership stakeholders recognise and act on market, organisational, and operational opportunities
- Foster strong internal partnerships that support both business performance and a high-performing, inclusive culture
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
