About the Role

Lead a global membership organisation. Influence international policy. Shape the future of nuclear transport.

The World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) is seeking an exceptional leader to represent the interests of its members at the highest levels of international policy, regulation, and industry.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a respected global membership organisation operating at the intersection of diplomacy, public policy, international trade, and nuclear transport. Representing WNTI at the United Nations, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), International Maritime Organization (IMO), and other international forums, you will help shape discussions that influence the safe, secure, and sustainable transport of nuclear and radioactive materials worldwide.

What you'll bring

  • Exceptional diplomatic, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience operating successfully in international and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • A track record of shaping policy, building consensus, and delivering outcomes.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and governance leadership.
  • A genuine understanding of how membership organisations create value, engage stakeholders, and balance the needs of diverse member communities.
  • The ability to develop strategy while also ensuring effective operational delivery.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm for extensive international travel.

Ideal backgrounds

  • Nuclear, energy, transport, or logistics sectors.
  • International/national trade associations, professional bodies, or other membership organisations.
  • Public affairs, policy, regulatory affairs, or government relations.
  • Experience engaging with organisations such as the IAEA, IMO, UN agencies, or national regulators.
