Chief Executive Officer

Surrey | On-site with some hybrid flexibility | Competitive six-figure salary

We are partnering with a long-established charitable organisation based in Surrey to appoint a Chief Executive Officer.

The charity supports children and young people facing challenging personal circumstances, helping them access stability, opportunity, and improved long-term outcomes through education and pastoral support.

This is a newly created and highly influential leadership role, reporting directly to the Chair and Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will shape the organisation’s future strategy, strengthen its financial sustainability, and lead a small, committed team through the next stage of its development.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on responsibility across fundraising, governance, finance, operations, partnerships, and commercial income generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering the organisation’s long-term strategy
  • Advising and working closely with the Board of Trustees
  • Leading fundraising and developing new income streams
  • Taking overall responsibility for financial performance and sustainability
  • Maximising commercial opportunities from a significant property and estate portfolio
  • Managing key external partnerships and service-provider relationships
  • Overseeing safeguarding assurance, service quality, and organisational risk
  • Leading and developing a small senior team
  • Acting as an ambassador with funders, partners, regulators, and wider stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
