Global ** Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location

Near London (hybrid office), open to part-time/fractional roles (intentional for full-time transition)

Company Overview

A small independent company under $3 million in revenue, poised for rapid growth after recent investment. Specialises in FMCG / CPG, health, wellness, fitness, supplements, and apparel, inspiring positive change through innovative products/services for millions of global consumers.

Revenue ambition: Scalestar revenue to over £10M within 2-5 years with a team of fewer than 10 staff.


Role Overview

Seeks a dynamic, visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), or Managing Director to lead the company during its next growth phase. Ideal candidates are senior executives with a proven track record in operations or marketing, preferably a proven CEO, founder, MD, or Operations Director.

Initial Scope:

  • First 3-12 months will require hybrid CEO/COO responsibilities, aligning with the Founder CEO (transitioning to Chairman role).
  • Focused on building the leadership team and organisational structure for scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans aligned to mission & vision.
  • Ensure execution reliability with a scalable, high-performance culture.

2. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to avoid bottlenecks; streamline processes and systems for rapid growth.
  • Maintain efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.

3. Team & Culture Leadership

  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team; promote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Shape a leadership culture synonymous with authenticity, resilience, and purpose.

4. Financial Management

  • Manage financial performance, forecasting, and investment.
  • Ensure profitability and long-term sustainability.

5. Business & Product Innovation

  • Expand into new markets/partnerships (global, D2C/B2C focus).
  • Collaborate with product teams to enhance offerings across:
    • Mindfulness & wellness (e.g., supplements, coaching, events).
    • Performance apparel & consumer goods.

6. Stakeholder Relationships

  • Cultivate connections with investors, key clients, board directors, and partners.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • 10+ years senior leadership experience (CEO, COO, Managing Director, or Operations Director).
  • Proven track record in scaling revenue (>3x growth preferred) within wellness, health, or CPG.
    • Mandatory D2C/B2C experience
  • Strategic mindset with operational and financial expertise.
  • Alignment with high-growth start-up values (passion for rapid trajectory, adaptability, and resilience).
