About the Adam Foundation
The Adam Foundation is an independent charitable foundation established to strengthen communities, develop future leaders, and promote social cohesion across the United Kingdom. Inspired by an Islamic ethos of service and guided by the values of integrity, excellence, and public benefit, the Foundation works with partners across the public, private, and voluntary sectors to create lasting social impact.
The Foundation delivers its mission through three complementary pillars:
- Community Exchange - Supporting stronger communities through education, civic participation, volunteering, dialogue, and community partnerships.
- Avicenna Foundation - Advancing education, research, leadership development, and scholarship to improve opportunity and social mobility.
- Adam Hub - Creating a collaborative platform for innovation, partnerships, incubation, and the delivery of programmes that strengthen civil society and community leadership.
Together, these pillars enable the Foundation to develop practical solutions that strengthen communities while creating opportunities for future generations.
Governance
The Adam Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
- The Chief Executive Officer is accountable to the Board through the Chair and is responsible for implementing the Board's strategy, policies, and decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
