We are now seeking a visionary, commercially minded and people-focused CEO to lead TrustMark forward, ensuring the organisation continues to deliver on its public-interest mission while building a resilient and financially sustainable future.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead TrustMark through its next challenging transformation and allow the individual to build and develop an exciting future for TrustMark.

This is a high-profile leadership role requiring a commercially minded and purpose-driven executive who can navigate complex stakeholder environments, drive organisational change and build long-term sustainability.

As TrustMark's principal ambassador, you will build trusted relationships across government, industry, regulators and commercial partners, ensuring the organisation remains influential, relevant and positioned for future growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Strategic Leadership and Direction

You will lead TrustMark’s strategic evolution, working closely with the Board to shape a clear, ambitious and commercially sustainable future.

  • Set and deliver TrustMark’s long-term vision and strategic priorities
  • Turn strategy into focused, measurable operational delivery
  • Position TrustMark to capitalise on major market and policy opportunities, including retrofit, energy efficiency, consumer protection and the Warm Homes agenda
  • Lead organisational transformation with pace, clarity and purpose
  • Balance TrustMark’s public-interest mission with commercial growth, innovation and long-term resilience

Commercial Growth and Financial Sustainability

You will drive the commercial agenda, strengthening TrustMark’s financial position while protecting its purpose and credibility.

  • Build new revenue streams, services, partnerships and commercial propositions
  • Reduce reliance on government-linked income through diversified growth
  • Maintain accountability for financial performance, budgets and strategic KPIs
  • Use market insight, data and intelligence to identify future opportunities
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management underpin all growth activity

Executive Leadership and Culture

You will bring visible, energising leadership to the organisation, creating momentum and confidence through change.

  • Lead, develop and constructively challenge the Senior Leadership Team
  • Build a high-performance culture based on accountability, trust and continuous improvement
  • Inspire employees through transformation, ensuring people feel engaged, valued and supported
  • Strengthen leadership capability, succession planning and talent development
  • Create a shared sense of purpose, ambition and pace across the organisation

Governance, Board Engagement and Risk

You will work effectively with an influential Board, combining strong executive leadership with sound governance and judgement.

  • Build a transparent, trusted and productive relationship with the Board
  • Provide clear insight, reporting and recommendations to support effective decision-making
  • Balance ambition and commercial opportunity with appropriate risk management
  • Maintain compliance, integrity and strong organisational governance
  • Protect TrustMark’s reputation, independence and public trust

External Leadership and Stakeholder Influence

You will act as TrustMark’s principal ambassador, strengthening its voice, influence and reputation across the sector.

  • Build trusted relationships across government, regulators, industry and commercial partners
  • Engage with key stakeholders
  • Represent TrustMark across the built environment, home improvement, retrofit and energy efficiency sectors
  • Lead engagement around policy, regulation and market development
  • Act as a confident, credible spokesperson for TrustMark, including with the media where required

You may come from construction, retrofit, energy efficiency, home improvement, the wider built environment or another regulated, consumer-focused sector. Experience from financial services or another highly regulated environment may also be relevant, particularly where it has involved consumer protection, risk, compliance, digital platforms or public trust.

You will be entrepreneurial, practical and solutions-focused, with the ability to operate in a fluid policy and commercial environment. You will be comfortable with ambiguity, able to make decisions at pace and capable of balancing opportunity with appropriate governance and risk management.

Just as importantly, you will be a visible and people-focused leader who can generate energy, build confidence and bring people with you.
