Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and financial direction of a fast-growing business. The successful candidate will lead the finance function through the next phase of international expansion, driving operational excellence, strengthening financial governance, and supporting an ambitious growth agenda through both organic expansion and M&A activity.

  • Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, supporting business strategy and long-term value creation.
  • Leading the finance function, providing commercial insight and financial leadership across the international group.
  • Building and embedding scalable financial systems, controls, and processes to support continued growth.
  • Delivering high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management information to enable informed decision-making.
  • Driving financial discipline, governance, and operational performance across the organisation.
  • Leading the financial integration of acquisitions, ensuring seamless alignment with the wider group.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team, fostering capability and succession planning.
  • Partnering with private equity stakeholders and the Board, providing clear financial insight and reporting.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and international expansion opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a PE-backed business.
  • Experience operating within an international, tech-enabled organisation, ideally in the mid-market.
  • Demonstrable success scaling businesses through periods of rapid growth and organisational change.
  • Strong experience leading M&A integration and embedding acquired businesses into group operations.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at Board level.
  • Candidates able to commence at short notice will be viewed favourably.
