About the Role
Harts Group is a community of talented individuals, creating award-winning food, drink and offering industry-leading service for over 20 years. We conceive, build, and operate leading hospitality brands across Central London, including Barrafina, Parrillan, Quo Vadis, El Pastor, The Drop, Two Drops, Bar Daskal and El Siete. As we continue to grow in the UK and internationally, we are looking for a CFO to help drive the next phase of our journey.
The Chief Financial Officer:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CFO or Finance Director within a multi-site consumer-facing business, ideally within hospitality or a related sector
- A senior finance leader and key member of the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO, Managing Directors and Board to deliver the Group’s strategic plan
- Leads all Group-wide financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning across multiple brands and markets
- Partners with Managing Directors to develop brand-level financial strategies, investment cases, pricing strategies and P&L performance
- Builds and maintains best-in-class FP&A processes, ensuring strong financial visibility and data-driven decision making
- Provides clear and insightful financial reporting, including monthly consolidated accounts, to the CEO, Board, investors and stakeholders
- Oversees all financial operations across the Group, including AR/AP, payroll, general ledger, month-end processes and financial systems
- Ensures robust financial control, governance and compliance across tax, VAT, pensions, regulatory and international requirements
- Leads audit processes, manages external auditors and maintains strong relationships with banks, lenders and investors
- Drives commercial performance by partnering with Operations Directors and Executive Chefs, providing weekly trading insight, labour analysis and forecasting
- Supports menu engineering, cost of goods control, supplier negotiations and pricing strategies to improve margins
- Leads financial modelling and ROI analysis for new openings, refurbishments, capital expenditure and international expansion
- Plays a key role in capital strategy, including equity raises, debt financing, investor relations and long-term value creation
- Evaluates new business opportunities including market entry, partnerships, franchising and new formats
- Leads the evolution and integration of financial systems (including Sage, Tenzo, Marketman and other platforms), ensuring scalability and data integrity
- Champions automation, digitisation and the development of financial dashboards and reporting tools
- Builds, leads and develops a high-performing Finance team, fostering a commercially focused, collaborative and accountable culture
- Works cross-functionally with senior stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Estates and Culinary teams to support business performance
- A values-led leader who embodies Harts Group’s culture, with a strong sense of integrity, partnership and long-term thinking
