Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: London, United Kingdom

Who are we recruiting for:

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy platform with a strong presence across European markets, focused on the development, acquisition, and operation of clean energy generation and energy storage assets. Backed by a leading infrastructure investor and supported by long-term institutional capital, the business is exceptionally well positioned to continue expanding its portfolio across multiple technologies and geographies.

As the business enters its next phase of growth, they are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead the company's financial strategy, capital raising, corporate finance, financial operations, and investor engagement, playing a pivotal role in supporting continued expansion and value creation.

What will you be doing:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in line with its long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead all corporate finance activities, including debt financing, equity raises, refinancing processes, and capital allocation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, lenders, infrastructure funds, banks, and external financial advisors.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, tax, and financial controls across the organisation.
  • Support M&A transactions, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic partnerships through financial analysis and transaction execution.
  • Work closely with the investment, development, commercial, and asset management teams to optimise project economics and funding strategies.
  • Lead project financing processes across solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) assets.
  • Ensure robust financial governance, compliance, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Present financial performance, strategic initiatives, and investment cases to the Board and shareholders.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance function capable of supporting rapid business growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
