IBMC is managing an executive search for a global Fintech firm. With a high-volume, multi-asset trading environment and a 100% international clientele, the firm is currently in a phase of strategic scaling.
Role Overview
The CFO will be a key strategic partner to the Board, overseeing all financial operations across multiple international jurisdictions. This role requires an executive with a deep understanding of the Prop Trading or Fintech landscape, capable of managing complex capital structures, multi-currency reporting, and high-stakes financial risk. You will drive the company’s financial planning, audits, and compliance while leading a high-performing global finance team.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 12–15 years in senior financial leadership, with at least 5 years as a CFO or VP of Finance.
- Industry Expertise: Proven background in Proprietary Trading, Hedge Funds, or high-frequency Fintech firms is mandatory.
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting and professional certification (CPA, CFA, or CA).
- Technical Depth: Expert knowledge of international tax laws, IFRS, and multi-currency consolidation.
- Confidentiality: Must demonstrate the highest level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive corporate information.
- Language: Native or professional-level English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the group’s global financial strategy to support rapid scaling and international expansion.
- Financial Operations: Oversee all accounting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting functions across multiple entities.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to international financial regulations and manage the firm’s exposure to market and operational risks.
- Audit & Reporting: Lead internal and external audit processes and deliver high-level financial insights/reporting to the Board.
- Capital Management: Optimize the firm’s capital allocation, liquidity, and trading-related financial workflows.
- Team Development: Mentor and scale the finance department, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
