Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer to join a privately backed industrial business with a turnover of approximately £60m and ambitious long-term growth plans.
Operating across multiple divisions, the business has built an impressive reputation within its sector through operational excellence, strong leadership, and continued investment across the organisation. With further growth, diversification, and strategic expansion firmly on the agenda, the appointment of a high-calibre CFO is viewed as a critical hire for the future of the business.
Leading a finance team of 12, the successful individual will provide both strategic and operational financial leadership across the organisation. This is a hands-on role requiring a finance leader capable of operating at board level whilst remaining closely connected to the day-to-day realities of a fast-moving industrial environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
