Overview
The CFO is an ExCo member and a key voice in the business’s most consequential decisions. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the senior leadership team on everything from day-to-day financial management to fundraising, product economics and Board-level strategy.
Treasury and Data Insight report into the CFO. This is a hands-on leadership role.

- Shape capital allocation decisions — where to invest, where to hold back and how to sequence growth against the EBITDA trajectory
- Lead investor relations: prepare and present financial reporting to the Board and existing investors, and support fundraising processes as required
- Develop and stress-test new commercial models as the product suite expands
Financial Management & Reporting
- Take overall control of the company’s accounting, management reporting and financial control environment
- Own the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycle; drive accountability across the business against budget
- Deliver monthly Board and ExCo financial packs with sharp, insightful commentary, not just data
- Ensure robust financial systems and controls that scale with growth and satisfy FCA expectations
- Manage year-end, statutory accounts, audit and tax, including partial VAT exemption requirements

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Essential
- Meaningful experience in a consumer fintech, retail investment platform or digital wealth management business — you understand how consumer financial products work at scale, how customers behave and what drives lifetime value
- Deep FP&A and commercial finance capability: multi-stream revenue modelling, unit economics, cohort LTV, terminal customer value, CAC and payback period analysis — this is the analytical engine of the role
- Experience in FCA-regulated environments with direct accountability, ideally as a Material Risk Taker (MRT) or holder of an SMF designation under SM&CR

- A strong grip on treasury: interest rate dynamics, margin management, bank counterparty relationships and liquidity management
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a genuinely commercial orientation — the finance fundamentals are table stakes; it is your business instinct that will set you apart

- London-based and able to work from the company’s London office three days a week
