We've been retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a profitable, privately owned UK business with national reach in the industrial services and equipment sector.
The business is in strong shape — turnover approaching £10m, consistently high margins, and a clear trajectory of growth. With a value-realisation event on the horizon over the medium term, this is a pivotal moment to join and shape what comes next.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will act as a true strategic partner to the leadership team. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Owning financial strategy, planning and governance across the business
- Building robust financial and performance management frameworks
- Supporting commercial decision-making with clear, data-led insight
- Improving operational predictability and driving process discipline
- Helping transition the business toward a more scalable operating model
- Preparing the business for future investor or buyer scrutiny
- Crafting a compelling narrative around performance and value creation
What We're Looking For
- A qualified finance leader with senior SME or mid-market experience
- Background in operationally complex or asset-intensive environments
- Strategically minded but genuinely hands-on — comfortable at all levels
- Experienced working closely with owner-managed or entrepreneurial leadership teams
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence beyond finance
