The Team
We are seeking a CISO to take full ownership of Information Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) at Man Group. This is a leadership role that blends:
- Driving cross-firm change
- Leading the security function
The CISO will:
- Set security standards
- Shape behaviour and culture
- Embed security into business processes
- Collaborate with departments to elevate risk management.
A Deputy CISO will steer day-to-day operations, enabling the CISO to focus on identity transformation, governance, and broader security culture.
Reporting: Directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk.
Role Responsibilities
Strategy & Standards
- Own and align the information security strategy with the firm’s risk appetite
- Foster a security culture through training, engagement, and communication
- Enforce security standards across technology, operations, and business teams—not just within InfoSec
- Collaborate with teams to design secure processes and integrate security into workflows
- Define guardrails for safe AI and emerging technology adoption
- Lead the Information Security and IAM Risks and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Monitor risk identification, control documentation, and remediation tracking

Identity & Access Management
- Lead the IAM strategy and roadmap
- Drive migration from legacy provisioning to a modern, governed identity platform --Manage identity governance implementation
- Application onboarding, lifecycle automation, and access controls
- Remediate audit findings linked to identity and IAM
Governance & Reporting
- Chair the Information Security Steering Committee
- Present security posture, risk, and programme updates to boards and the Risk and Finance Committee
- Oversee third-party risk management (in coordination with TPRM teams)
- Support SOC-1 audit processes
Key Competencies
Essential
- A builder mindset, adept at balancing competing priorities
- Senior information security leadership experience, ready for full CISO responsibility
- Deep technical credibility in information security, with capabilities at architectural and implementation levels
- Proven ability to drive change across non-reporting lines, influencing:
- Technology
- Operations
- Business teams adoption of security standards
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to boards, as well as leading technical design reviews
Advantageous
- CISSP certification
- Experience with:
- Identity governance platforms
- Large-scale IAM transformation programmes
- Infrastructure-as-code environments (e.g., Terraform, GitOps)
- Hybrid identity environments (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO platforms)
- Security frameworks for emerging technology
- Regulated industries, including governance and compliance (e.g., cloud and cloud-native technologies like Azure/AWS, containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes)
