Salary: £140,000 - £170,000 + bonus
We are seeking an experienced cyber security leader to define and oversee the organisation's security strategy, governance framework, and risk management approach. This senior leadership position is responsible for protecting information assets, supporting regulatory compliance, and enabling secure business growth across a complex operational environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to embed security principles into decision-making, transformation initiatives, and operational practices. They will provide independent oversight of cyber risk while enabling innovation and ensuring security remains aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's cyber security strategy, policies, and governance framework.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of cyber and technology risks across the business.
- Provide regular reporting and advice to senior stakeholders on security posture, emerging threats, and key risk areas.
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are embedded into technology projects, system implementations, and business change initiatives.
- Oversee supplier, partner, and third-party security assurance activities, including risk assessments and due diligence reviews.
- Drive improvements in security controls across infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, identity management, and data protection.
- Lead the organisation's approach to cyber incident response, resilience planning, and recovery readiness.
- Foster a strong security culture through awareness, education, and engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
- Work collaboratively with business and technology teams to balance risk management with operational and commercial priorities.

About You

- Significant experience in cyber security, information security, or technology risk leadership.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or COBIT.
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business language.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are desirable.
