In-House Gaffer & Rigger — RD Content
Location: London (studio-based, with international travel)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Want to work full-time in one of London's most exciting film studios? Fancy travelling the world to help deliver some of the biggest commercial and corporate productions out there? RD Content is a leading production company specialising in film, commercials, and television. We're looking for an experienced in-house Gaffer to join us at our studio facility, RD Studios, taking ownership of all lighting and rigging across our productions and helping maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing all lighting and rigging requirements for our productions
- Working closely with the production team to understand each project's needs
- Designing lighting and rigging plans
- Setting up and rigging lighting and other equipment, on set or on location
- Maintaining all lighting and rigging equipment for safety and functionality
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
- Operating DMX and desk controls
- Upholding a high standard of safety on set and on location
- Ensuring all electrical and rigging work meets the highest quality and safety standards
- Keeping accurate records of electrical and rigging work performed
- Contributing input on future equipment purchases and studio plans

What we're looking for:

- Minimum three years' experience in a similar role
- Electrical and electronic engineering qualifications required
- Rigging qualifications
- Must be scissor lift or forklift trained; both is a bonus
- Solid knowledge of DMX and desk operation
- Willingness and ability to work at the studio and on location
- Full driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
