Chief Marketing Officer

Multi-Site Consumer Business

Newcastle (Hybrid) | £140,000–£160,000 + Package

Sanderson King's Consumer Practice has been exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Marketing Officer on behalf of an established, nationally recognised multi-site consumer business.

This is a rare opportunity to join the executive leadership team of a well-known brand at an exciting stage of its growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering the overall marketing strategy, strengthening brand position, accelerating customer acquisition and retention, and driving commercial performance across both digital and offline channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's long-term marketing and brand strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of brand, digital, CRM, customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Drive customer growth through data-led marketing and performance optimisation.
  • Build and develop a high-performing marketing function, fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to shape commercial strategy and business performance.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, ROI, and agency relationships.
  • Champion customer insight and market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Enhance the customer experience across all touchpoints.
  • Support new product, service, and location launches where appropriate.
  • Act as a key ambassador for the brand internally and externally.

About You

You'll be an accomplished senior marketing executive with experience operating at Marketing Director or Chief Marketing Officer level within a consumer-focused organisation.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Significant experience within a multi-site B2C environment such as hospitality, leisure, retail, health & fitness, travel, or a comparable consumer sector.
  • A proven record of delivering sustainable revenue and customer growth.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise, including CRM, customer lifecycle, performance marketing, and brand development.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to influence at Board level.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach when required.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
