EMEA Recruitment Partners with Global Organisation for Chief of Staff Role
EMEA Recruitment are partnering with a global organisation as they look to hire a Chief of Staff to play a key role as the business goes through significant transformation.
As Chief of Staff you’ll turn strategic priorities into disciplined execution across the Executive Committee (EXCO), accelerating decision-making, and protecting the CEO’s time and focus during a major business repositioning.
Success in this role will involve the execution of CEO-sponsored projects, strategic priorities tracked transparently with proactive escalation and delivering CEO external and internal communications consistently sharp and on-message.
Responsibilities of Chief of Staff
- Convert the CEO agenda into clear workstreams, owners, milestones and KPIs; drive delivery of cross-functional priorities.
- Own the CEO operating cadence: EXCO rhythm, business reviews, action tracking, decision follow-through.
- Lead quarterly EXCO offsites end-to-end (objectives, agenda, pre-reads, decision moments, outcomes, post-offsite execution).
- Prepare the CEO for key external moments (board/investors, clients/partners, conferences, regulators, media): briefs, talking points, decision asks, follow-ups.
- Shape CEO internal communications (townhalls/all-hands/leadership sessions) with Comms and People leadership.
- Support M&A / strategic transactions (diligence coordination, deal memos, integration planning).
- Lead CEO-sponsored special projects (strategy reviews, new models, restructures, partnerships).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
