Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.

Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.

How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.

Lloyd’s are currently looking to recruit a Chief of Staff to the Chief People Officer. This is a high-impact role at the heart of the function. You'll help shape priorities, drive execution and ensure our leaders have the insight, focus and support they need to deliver. Working across a wide range of senior stakeholders, you'll bring structure to complex challenges and help turn strategy into action. If you're looking for a role that offers influence, variety and exposure to senior leadership, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

What you'll do

As Chief of Staff, you'll help lead the operational rhythm of the People function, ensuring we're focused on the priorities that matter most and equipped to deliver against our strategy.

You'll:

  • Lead the planning cycle and rhythm of business for the People function
  • Ensure priorities, resources, data and insight are aligned to maximise impact
  • Partner closely with the CPO, providing trusted support, challenge and coordination across key priorities
  • Manage the CPO's inbox and diary with excellent judgement, pace and discretion
  • Anticipate emerging issues and opportunities, keeping the CPO informed, organised and prepared
  • Act on behalf of the CPO where appropriate, making decisions, responding to stakeholders and driving actions forward
  • Coordinate leadership activity, governance forums and strategic People initiatives
  • Create and maintain the People calendar across business-as-usual activity, change programmes and key milestones
  • Prepare high-quality briefings, papers, recommendations and presentations for leadership discussions and decision-making
  • Use data, evidence and insight to support planning, prioritisation and performance conversations
  • Build trusted relationships across the People Leadership Team and wider business
  • Support clear communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing across the function
  • Handle highly confidential information with professionalism, integrity and care

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
