About Us

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally are using Hawk’s powerful combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve the effectiveness of their AML compliance and fraud prevention by identifying more crime while maximising efficiency by reducing false positives. With our solution, we are playing a vital role in the global fight against Money Laundering, Fraud, or the financing of terrorism.

We offer a culture of mutual trust, support and passion – while providing individuals with opportunities to grow professionally and make a difference in the world.

Your Mission

As Chief of Staff to the CEO, your mission is to multiply the CEO’s impact across everything that matters most to Hawk. You will:

  • Run the operating rhythm that keeps the executive team aligned and moving
  • Lead strategic initiatives from definition through to delivery
  • Ensure that the CEO’s priorities translate into the company’s actions

This is a role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, knows how to bring order to chaos without losing speed, and wants to be at the center of building a category-defining company in the fight against financial crime.

You’ll do all of this as an AI-native operator—treating AI as the default first move, building agents and workflows, and automating anything that can be automated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the executive rhythm:
    • Design and run the cadence of leadership meetings
    • Lead strategic reviews to keep the exec team coordinated and decisions moving

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Lead special projects directly with the CEO:

    • Take a priority from a rough idea to a structured plan
    • Achieve measurable outcomes, often across multiple functions
    • Avoid relying on dedicated teams
  • Track and drive OKRs and strategic priorities:

    • Resolve blockers before they become problems
    • Ensure impactful communication of strategy & progress
  • Prepare high-quality materials:

    • Synthesise complex information into clear narratives
    • Drive the right conversations for decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner:

    • Pressure-test the ideas of the CEO & leadership
    • Flag blind spots and occasionally voice concerns others won’t express
  • Work closely with the full executive team:

    • Act as a peer, holding threads across finance, product, engineering, sales, and operations
    • Escalate issues when necessary
  • Orchestrate the CEO’s external advisor bench:

    • Include bankers, consultants, board advisors, communications partners, and experts
    • Scope work, brief them, hold them accountable for deliverables
    • Integrate their output back into the company
  • Proactively hunt for gaps, friction, and emerging problems across:

    • Execution
    • The operating model
    • Team performance
    • External dependencies

Do not just surface these problems—take ownership and drive the fix yourself.
