About the Role
The Chief People Officer (CPO) is the key Partnership-wide people and culture role in managing the organization’s most important assets—people and organisational culture. The role is accountable for:
- Ensuring the organisation’s ongoing growth, health, and sustainability by attracting, developing, rewarding, and maintaining staff to meet strategic and operational needs.
- Aligning with Our Promise and addressing future staffing requirements across the partnership.
The CPO also:
- Provides organisation-wide people strategies.
- Manages and controls people processes, introducing necessary upgrades to programs, processes, policies, or procedures.
- Develops the leadership team.
- Champions and models the organisation’s mindsets, behaviours, Core Values, and Christian ethos to employees.
- Drives responsible change as an effective leader.
- Ensures compliance with legal, governmental, and regulatory requirements.

This role is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) for World Vision International (WVI) and serves as the lead People & Culture (P&C) business partner to the WVI President on all people-related issues.
The CPO is:
- The lead for the WVI Board Committee (People Committee).
- A key collaborator with the Executive Committee.
- Directly responsible for senior leaders in WVI’s P&C and Safety, Security, and Resilience (SSR) teams.
- A matrix leader to the P&C Leader of VisionFund International.
