About FilmTailor AI

We are a UK based startup building the first AI-powered project management and design platform tailored for the Film, TV and Advertisement industry. Our technology helps filmmakers streamline script analysis, costume design, mood board creation, and overall production planning with intelligent automation and collaboration tools. We are transforming Film production with cutting-edge technology and are looking for a creative and strategic CPO to lead our design team of 3 people, driving the completion of our platform’s second release and shaping future innovations.

Role Overview

As the CPO, you will oversee the end-to-end user experience and visual design of our platform, ensuring an efficient and effective product design and development process. Leading a team of designers, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and key stakeholders to craft intuitive, visually compelling, and highly functional design solutions. You will drive product strategy, design direction, and execution, ensuring our platform delivers an exceptional user experience and remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Experience & UI Design: Design and refine intuitive workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI design for existing and new features.
  • Design Strategy & Roadmap: Define the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Design Leadership: Lead a team of UX/UI Designers to accomplish the deadlines and product roadmap.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with engineers, and key stakeholders to translate user and business needs into innovative design solutions.
  • Product management: Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritise features, and drive an efficient product development process.
  • Website updates: Take ownership of our WebFlow website, ensuring it remains up to date with new features and updates.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in design: 2+ years of experience working as a Lead UX/UI or Product Manager.
  • Experience in leadership roles: Experience leading a team or department.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in Startups or SaaS / AI related businesses.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma and WebFlow. Knowledge of HTML/CSS and coding is a bonus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex problems and business goals into elegant, user-friendly solutions.
  • User-Centric Approach: Strong understanding of UX research methods, accessibility principles, and data-driven design.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment with an experimental and iterative mindset.
