Chief Revenue Officer | Semiconductor IP | GPU | CPU | Global | UK / Europe

Obsidian Black is partnering with a globally recognised technology business to appoint a Chief Revenue Officer / Chief Commercial Officer.

This is a newly created UK based role, reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for leading the company's global growth strategy.

As we all know, the title you currently hold isn't actually important. You may already be a Chief Revenue Officer, or you may currently be operating at VP, SVP or Global Sales Director.

What is essential is the experience you have and that you're already established within the semiconductor ecosystem. As such, you'll have built long-standing relationships across the industry and have genuine experience owning a commercial function end-to-end as the leader. The company is moving into a scale-up phase, so you may be in an environment with a bigger team/budget currently, but not quite have the board-level impact and responsibility. With this role, you are top of the chain and have extensive freedom.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
