Chief Risk Officer / CRO — Founding AI Assurance Fellow (Advisory)
The Norven Risk Council — Founding Fellows
An invitation to a small number of the most senior risk leaders in the market
Location: London / (UK-wide) remote Title: Founding Fellowship (remunerated)
Together, we are establishing a new standard before the market follows.
Why This Matters
AI decisions will soon need independent evidence-backed judgements on their defensibility—issued by individuals whose authority is recognised by boards and regulators. Norven is building this new authority layer for AI-era trust, not as certification or legal advice, but as a signed, expert opinion that provides confidence when ethics, safety or compliance is at stake.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Asking For
A selective group of founding Council members—including chief risk officers (CROs), chief compliance officers (CCOs) and former regulators—to define and lend authority to this standard.
Core Principles
- Independent authority: Not certification, not legal advice— considered, expert-backed opinions that institutional decision-makers can rely on.
- Remunerated & equitable: Focused on shaping excellence, not competing with full-time roles. Core members receive payment per engagement + founding equity.
- Pioneering role: The Council will shape what the market demands for trust in AI; membership grants influence in defining how AI decisions are scrutinised.

Prospective Candidates Should Have
- Bloodied by ultimate responsibility for risk at systemically important institutions
- Face-time with regulators (e.g., PRA, FCA, ECB, Fed) for credibility
- A keen sense that "who independently checked this?" will soon be a board-level question on proliferation of AI
Who Is This For?
Only early respondents; this class of Council members will be among those who set the bar for accountable AI.
If that speaks to you, we’d invite a discreet conversation.
