The position is for a Chief Technician. The successful candidate will have accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent. They will be a key and dynamic member of the cardiac physiology team based at King's College Hospital in the Princess Royal University Hospital.

In this role, you will be expected to independently practice echocardiography at a high level of skill and autonomy. You will possess the relevant skills for advanced echocardiographic imaging, with a strong foundation in good scientific practice.

Key Working Relationships

  • Act as a leader within a multidisciplinary team for Echo patients. This will include liaising with the principal physiologists, clinical lead of echo/consultants, admissions teams, procurement, heart failure team, and junior members of staff to ensure a high standard of care for patients.
  • Cross cover and support to the lead physiologist for Echo in the day-to-day running of the Echo service.
