We are partnering exclusively with a highly respected UK law firm on the appointment of its first Chief Technology Officer - a newly created executive leadership role that will shape the firm's technology strategy for years to come.
This is a unique opportunity to build a modern technology function from the ground up. Working directly with the Managing Partner and Executive Leadership Team, the CTO will define the firm's technology vision, establish the roadmap, and recruit and lead a high-performing internal technology team.
The firm has ambitious growth plans and recognises technology as a key strategic differentiator. From AI and legal technology to cloud infrastructure, cyber security, data, automation and client-facing innovation, the successful individual will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of the firm's technology landscape.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a CTO, Technology Director or senior technology leader within a law firm
- Demonstrable experience building, scaling or transforming technology functions
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise applications, cyber security, data platforms, AI and modern software ecosystems.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and delivering organisation-wide transformation programmes.
- The credibility to influence partners and senior stakeholders, balancing strategic vision with pragmatic delivery.
- A collaborative leadership style with experience recruiting, developing and leading high-performing technology teams.
- Commercial acumen with experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships and investment decisions.
- Passion for emerging technologies and a clear understanding of how AI and legal technology are reshaping the legal profession.
