Chief Technology Officer - Medical Device

Hybrid – Basingstoke

Neupulse is entering a pivotal stage of growth.

After years of product development, research, and technical validation, our neurotechnology platform is now launching commercially as a wellness device, while progressing through the pathway toward full medical device approval.

Our technology has the potential to make a meaningful difference to people living with Tourette’s and related neurological conditions, helping improve quality of life through accessible, evidence-led neurostimulation technology.

We are now looking for a commercially-minded, technically credible CTO with a strong background in medical device electronics, firmware, and software engineering to take the platform to its next stage — scaling the technology, shaping the roadmap, building the engineering capability, and leading the transition from product development into global deployment.

This is not a “maintain the status quo” CTO role. It is an opportunity to take ownership of a genuinely innovative connected medical technology platform at the point where technology, regulation, manufacturing, and commercialisation begin to converge.

The Opportunity

As CTO, you will work closely with the founders and leadership team to define and execute the long-term technology strategy for Neupulse.

The platform foundation is already in place:

  • connected neurostimulation hardware
  • embedded electronics and firmware
  • mobile applications
  • cloud infrastructure
  • regulatory and quality systems
  • outsourced development partnerships
  • an imminent commercial launch

The next phase is about scale. You will lead the evolution of the engineering organisation as the business moves toward:

  • medical device approval
  • larger-scale manufacturing
  • international markets
  • platform maturity
  • stronger in-house technical capability

This role requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining deeply credible technically — someone equally comfortable discussing electronics architecture, embedded firmware, cloud-connected applications, manufacturing readiness, and regulatory pathways.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
