Child Care Lead Infant Teacher
Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: Lancaster, NY Pay: $18.50 – $20.50 per hour Job Type: Full-Time (no evenings or weekends!)

Responsibilities
As a Lead Teacher, you'll partner with teachers and families to create a home away from home for children (ages 6 weeks – 12 years), aligned with NAEYC guidelines. Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safety, supervision, and well-being of children in a structured classroom environment.
- Designing developmentally appropriate curriculum based on NAEYC standards.
- Planning engaging activities tailored to each child’s interests and learning style.
- Maintaining a clean, warm, and inviting environment that encourages exploration and growth.
- Collaborating with families to implement tailored care and educational plans.
- Fostering transparent communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you must meet the following:
- Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field),
- OR CDA (Child Development Associate) credential,
- OR 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education courses.
- Experience:
- 2+ years preferred in a licensed child care facility.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to multitask and stay organised.
- Must adhere to regular operating hours and state child care employment criteria.
- Language:
- Proficiency in functional written and oral English required.
