As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support children's learning, development and wellbeing while working towards a recognised childcare qualification. You will gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of nursery practice, including supporting daily routines, planning activities and promoting positive outcomes for children.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support the care, learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Assist with daily care routines, including mealtimes, personal care and promoting independence
  • Help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development
  • Observe, monitor and record children's progress under the guidance of experienced practitioners
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
  • Support children with additional needs and promote equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection requirements
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records, including observations, accidents and incidents
  • Contribute positively to the wider nursery team and support the smooth running of the setting

Benefits

  • Wage: £28,528.50 a year
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (Shifts Range Between 07:30 - 18:00), 41 hours a week
  • Duration: 1 year
  • There is a possibility of being offered a full time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship
