Support the smooth day-to-day coordination of the childcare programme across all age groups, helping the different teams work well together and share spaces, equipment and resources effectively.
- Assist with childcare administration, including registration forms, registers, parent information, consent forms and other required paperwork.
- Review children’s information ahead of sessions and clearly flag any allergies, medical needs, dietary requirements or additional support needs to the relevant team members.
- Help ensure the right staffing cover is in place across the childcare areas each day, including supporting with rotas, breaks, changes to plans and movement of staff between age groups where needed.
- Liaise with other departments to make sure everything needed to support the childcare programme is in place.
- Support the set-up and smooth running of childcare activities, mealtimes, transitions, evening sessions and shared spaces.
- Act as a key point of communication between the childcare teams, helping ensure everyone is clear on the daily plan, timings, staffing needs and any important child-specific information.
- Work hands-on with children where needed, including supporting the crèche team during quieter periods and working in ratio with children aged 3 and under.
- Help maintain high standards of safety, safeguarding, hygiene and care across all childcare spaces.
- Escalate any parent feedback, operational issues, safeguarding concerns or staffing challenges to the appropriate manager promptly.
