Salary Range: FC5 £29,170.80 to £31,761.26 (pro rata)
Working Pattern: 16.25 hrs per week (14:45 to 18:00 during term-time, with various shifts during school holidays)

Job Details
We are seeking a Childcare Practitioner (ASN) within our specialist out of school clubs for children and young people with complex and profound additional support needs.
The job involves working with young people aged 4 to 18 on a 1 to 1 basis to meet their individual care and support needs, while supporting them to engage in a wide range of activities and experiences. This includes, but is not limited to:

The Person
As a Childcare Practitioner (ASN), you will support a wide range of ages and needs throughout the session. Therefore, we are looking for someone who:
- Is fun, engaging, adaptable, passionate about working with children and young people
- Has experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting
- Is willing to work towards the SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or already holds a suitable qualification
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you’re registered within the required six months.
If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed. You must ensure you complete the qualification within the specified timeframe.
