Pay $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM Follows school calendar, with potential summer hours

About the Role
The Site Director is the heartbeat of a Healthy Kids Programs location. This critical role ensures that every day at your site delivers extraordinary quality, safety, and engagement. You’ll oversee:
- A high-quality, engaging program that families trust and children love
- Staff retention and support, ensuring a well-prepared and committed team
- Full compliance with state regulations, health, and safety standards
- Inventory and resource management, so teachers always have what they need

- Staff-to-child ratios are always maintained
- Documentation is accurate, current, and inspection-ready
- Safety protocols are enforced in real time

Inventory
- Supplies and materials are promptly restocked
- Teachers have ready access to arts, crafts, academic, and activity resources
- Site resources are used efficiently to minimize waste
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Quality & Enrollment
- Execute a high-standard daily program rooted in HKP’s curriculum and 10 Healthy Ways to Engage with Students
- Create a safe, welcoming, and child-centered environment where every participant feels seen, included, and nurtured
- Foster strong relationships with families by communicating proactively, addressing questions, and solving issues
- Upsell program retention by delivering exceptional services that families love
- Participate in enrollment outreach and events as requested
- Share insights from families, program observations, and enrollment challenges with the Multi-Site Director

2. Staffing – Supporting & Leading Teachers
- Supervise and mentor Lead and Assistant Teachers to ensure work goals are met
- Set and model high expectations for professionalism, conduct, and curriculum delivery
- Perform regular classroom walkthroughs to provide real-time feedback, ensuring compliance and program commitment
- Communicate scheduling and coverage needs quickly and clearly to ensure adequate staffing
- Assist with new staff onboarding, ensuring they integrate smoothly
- Document performance issues transparently and bring them to the proper management team
- Cultivate a positive team culture rooted in mutual support and purpose
3. Payroll, Labor & Scheduling Efficiency
- Schedule staff to achieve precise staff-to-child ratios, balancing compliance and budget needs
- Review timecards for accuracy and timeliness to reflect actual hours worked
- Monitor payroll to ensure hours align with budget. Correct overages in real time
- Optimise schedules to reduce unnecessary overtime and improve efficiency
- Document schedule changes clearly and keep staff aligned
- Master HKP’s Paylocity scheduling tools for efficiency
4. Compliance – Ratios & Site Safety
- Maintain 24/7 compliance with staff-to-child ratios
- Record daily attendance meticulously and keep records up to date
- Ensure the program environment is clean, safe, and licensed
- Verify all staff hold current certifications (CPR, First Aid, mandated reporter training)
- Report safety or compliance issues immediately
- Prepare for unannounced inspections by maintaining a consistently high operational standard
5. Inventory Management
- Maintain an organised site inventory
- Track the needs and supply levels of materials daily
- Ensure frontline staff have consistent, readily available supplies
- Store resources properly and conduct nightly cleanup
- Report missing, broken, or damaged supplies promptly
- Lead workers to practice responsible resource use
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a tuberculosis (TB) screening test
- Willingness to complete all onboarding trainings and state-mandated certifications (if required)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or commitment to obtain)
- Knowledgeable of Alabama DHR licensing standards
- Experience with the Arise system (preferred)
