Do you thrive in a role where your work has a direct impact on families’ lives? We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Solicitor to join our growing family department, handling both fee-paying and publicly funded matters.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on meaningful and challenging cases within a supportive, client-focused firm.

Your role

  • Running care-related cases allocated by the Head of Department/Partners
  • Ensuring client work is progressed efficiently with clear communication on costs and progress
  • Advocating for clients in court and at key meetings
  • Supervising and developing junior colleagues as agreed with the Head of Department
  • Maintaining strong professional relationships with social services, guardians, and other organisations
  • Time recording, billing, and credit control for your matters
  • Ensuring compliance with all SRA rules and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting marketing and business development initiatives

To thrive in this role, you will need to:

  • Be a qualified solicitor with proven experience in family care law
  • Be a member of the Childcare Panel
  • Have strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Be confident in managing a caseload independently
  • Show excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal development and compliance
