Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive! At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! We’re looking for a Children and Families Healthy Lifestyle Coach to join our One You Lincolnshire service. One You Lincolnshire offers support in Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Alcohol Reduction, Physical Activity, Health Coaching and Strength and Balance.
The main aspect of this role, however, involves working on the Gloji Energy programme that is responsible for supporting children and their families to lead healthy lifestyles. The programme provides eligible Lincolnshire families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, increase their physical activity levels, as well as improving their sleep and wellbeing. The holistic programme combines both one to one appointments and weekly group sessions for children aged 4 to 12 years, and their families.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Children and Families Healthy Lifestyle Coach might include:
- Deliver a planned child weight management and healthy lifestyle programme to eligible Lincolnshire families, focusing on behaviour change, to help families make changes to nutrition, movement, mind and sleep.
- Motivate, inspire and support children and parents/carers to lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach.
- Be able to relate and communicate to both children and their parents/carers, handling sensitive conversations about weight in a professional manner.
- Deliver, or support the delivery, of fun and engaging physical activity with children.
- Provide one to one support to children and families where this is identified as appropriate.
- Complete Extended Brief Intervention phone calls with the parents of eligible children, offering support and information about our Gloji Energy programmes.
- Accurately record and monitor data in a timely manner using basic IT skills.
- Promote Gloji Energy alongside the Partnerships and Engagement Officer by working with the National Child Measurement Programme, local Schools, primary care and secondary care.
- Support Thrive Tribe and service colleagues to implement local health campaigns and programmes as required.
- Ensure due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements, and guidance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
