At Nudge Education, we support around 90,000 young people across the UK who are persistently absent from education each year. Through tailored mentoring and interventions, we help these young people reconnect, rebuild confidence, and thrive.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and adaptable practitioners to deliver one-to-one personalised support to young people with special educational needs (SEN), social emotional mental health needs (SEMH), or additional needs.
This is a community-based role, working outside traditional classroom settings to create safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.
You will:
- Deliver tailored intervention sessions
- Build positive and consistent relationships with young people
- Monitor progress and report safeguarding concerns
- Complete risk assessments and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and regional teams

Who We’re Looking For
Candidates may come from various backgrounds, including:
- Education
- Youth work
- Healthcare
- Social care
- Coaching
- Uniformed services
Key attributes we value:

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- Valid UK driving license
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability for at least 3 weekdays during daytime hours
Desirable (but not essential) Experience
- Teaching or therapeutic qualifications
- Safeguarding or de-escalation training
- Knowledge of ADHD, ASD, PDA, and trauma-informed practice
- Experience working with EYFS/KS1
- Preference, though not exclusive, for female applicants

Flexible Opportunities
- Roles are tailored based on location and student match
- £16–£25 per hour, plus agreed expenses
- Weekday daytime availability required, with consistent availability being essential
