Full time Children in Care Nurse - Band 6

37.5 hours per week, permanent role

Please note you may be required to take part in a young person's interview panel as part of this interview process.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse with significant experience of working with Children in Care, to join our caring and compassionate team who wants to make a real difference to the children we work with.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a trauma-informed innovative team, become an expert nurse, use your clinical analysis skills autonomously, and be an evidenced-based practitioner.

We are seeking a nurse who can comprehensively assess the health, development and social-emotional needs of both the 0-5 and 5-18 age group. So applications from experienced Health Visitors or SCPHN qualified colleagues are particularly invited.

Applicants must have confident report writing skills, be able to work independently, have significant safeguarding experience, the ability to plan, prioritise and time manage their own workload. Applicants will need to be able to work well under pressure and be emotionally resilient practitioners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
