Children, Young People & Families Worker
Location: Enfield
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term (6 months)
Salary: £28,690 – £34,730
CRITICAL
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Children, Young People & Families Worker to join our service on a fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to support children, young people, and families affected by drug and alcohol misuse, helping them build resilience, strengthen relationships and move towards positive change.
About the Role
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including:
- 5-Step Family, Friends & Carers work
- Parenting programmes
- Peer support groups
- One-to-one and group sessions
- Manage a caseload, complete assessments, and develop tailored support plans
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support
- Contribute to safeguarding, recovery, and harm reduction activities across the service
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience working with children, young people, or families, or a background in:
- Health and social care
- Drug and alcohol services
- Youth work
- Are confident building relationships and delivering supportive interventions
- Have an understanding of substance misuse (professional or lived experience is desirable)
- Are enthusiastic, empathetic, and committed to improving outcomes for families
