The Church at Junction 10 (Walsall / Darlaston)
Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time; job share or part-time considered)
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Friday evening Youth Club at ARC
Sundays at Grace Academy Darlaston

The Church at Junction 10 is seeking a Children and Youth Ministries Pastor to lead, develop and grow our children’s and youth ministries in line with our vision to “Build a Community with Jesus at the Centre.”

The Role
As Children and Youth Ministries Pastor, you will provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care while leading engaging, faith-filled programmes for children and young people aged 3–18. You will work closely with volunteers, interns, families, schools, and the wider church leadership to ensure our ministries are safe, inclusive, and spiritually fruitful.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing spiritual leadership, mentoring, and pastoral support to children, young people, volunteers and interns
- Leading and developing weekly programmes including youth clubs, Sunday groups, retreats, residentials, family services, fun away days, holiday club, mission trips and outreach activities
- Recruiting, training, supporting and supervising volunteers and interns
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, schools and community partners
- Managing the children and youth ministries budget responsibly
- Ensuring excellent safeguarding practice in line with church policies and legislation
What We’re Looking For
You will be:
- A practising Christian, actively involved in church life, with a demonstrable personal faith (this role is an Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)
- Experienced in working with children and young people (paid or voluntary)
- A confident communicator, able to teach, lead and inspire across diverse backgrounds
- Organised, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within a leadership team
- Able to work strategically, collaboratively, motivate others, design and deliver a range of activities and communicate effectively with children and youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Able to provide a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Certificate required.
- Passionate about discipleship and developing others

Relevant qualifications in children’s, youth or community work are highly desirable, as is experience of evangelism, outreach, and leading within a church context.
