Childrens Complex Care Assistant

Complex Care Support Worker – 1:1 Support (16-year-old daytime/night shift)

Location: Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire Pay: £13.80 per hour Contract: 20-hour rotational shift pattern Shifts: Wake-and-sleep night shifts (Thursdays/Fridays, 18:30–09:00, with a nap between 12:00–06:00)

The Role:

You’ll provide emotionally rewarding 1:1 care to a 16-year-old girl with a spinal cord injury, supporting her safety, independence, personal empowerment, and daily engagement (e.g. reading, films, music).

The client lives in a family home with pets, requiring comprehensive support:

  • One-to-one attention
  • Especially: Trust-building with someone still developing social connections and navigating independence
  • Driving services (to school, appointments, outings)
  • Weekday & overnight shifts (W/S shifts only—relevant experience encouraged)

Applicants must be confident with family pet environments.


Key Responsibilities:

    • Encouraging interaction around her interests (reading, films, music etc.)

  • Requirements

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to learn—due to rotation of shifts, clinical skills are taught on the job.
