Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the home and ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes Assist in managing the home, ensuring it is safe, compliant, and homely Deliver a child-centred approach to meet individual needs Mentor and guide staff to maintain high standards of care Support recruitment, training, and development of team members Plan and manage staff rotas effectively Conduct supervisions and contribute to team development Provide leadership, direction, and practical support Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards Work flexibly across shifts, including sleep-ins and long days
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards) Minimum two years’ experience in social care Experience completing risk assessments and reports Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and legislation Experience leading and developing a team Passion for supporting young people with complex needs Strong communication, resilience, and decision-making skills A proactive and committed approach
