Children’s Home Services Cleaner

HOURS: Full time

SALARY RANGE: £24,784.50 - £26,130.00

Details

37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30 across 5 days a week (1 in 3 weekends).

What will the role entail?

Working as part of a team to upkeep the children’s living environment and communal areas. This will include:

  • Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning of bathrooms.
  • Emptying waste bins, (including clinical waste) ensuring safe and correct disposal.
  • Laundry and wash-up duties.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Attend mandatory training courses and other recommended training to support your own development.

What is essential for the role?

The ideal candidate would be passionate about providing a high standard of cleanliness, have a proactive approach and a can-do attitude. As the role will be within the children’s home and living space, you will need to have patience and understanding, and will promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.

Previous experience is not essential for the role, as you will shadow an experienced member of the team to start off with, and will also receive induction training during your first 4 weeks to gain a greater understanding of the children and our approach at Loddon.

Hours of work?

Full time: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30 across 5 days a week (1 in 3 weekends).

Salary

The salary is based on full time employment and is dependent on experience within similar settings.

The hourly rate for this role is between £12.71 – £13.40

Additional Requirements

All applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK and have 12 months or more on their Visa. Successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check and pre-employment checks following Safer Recruitment.
