Life Practitioner – Children’s Residential Home
About The Role
£500 Joining Bonus – £250 on commencement and £250 on successful probation completion
We are seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Practitioners to join our team at The Old Vicarage in Swinderby, Lincoln.
As a Life Practitioner, your role is vital:
- Provide essential support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs
- Help them live fulfilling, independent lives
- Assist in daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and self-help skills
- Accompany individuals on community engagements (shopping, meals, appointments, and outings)
Key Responsibilities
- Creating a supportive and inclusive environment
- Encouraging personal progress through small, meaningful achievements
- Maintaining records of support and activities
- Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
Pay & Progression
- Starting hourly rate: £12.71
- With experience: £13.60 (Level 1 – £12.71, Level 2 – £13.10, Level 3 – £13.60)
- Competency-based pay progression, with increased rates as you advance

About The Candidate
Requirements
- Genuine passion for care and motivation to help others progress
- Strong team player mentality
- Resilience and confidence to seek support when needed
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) & computer literacy
- Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services (or a willingness to work towards it)
