Childrens Life Practitioner
Life Practitioner – Children’s Residential Home
£500 Joining Bonus available: £250 on commencement and £250 after successful probation.
Location: Apple Tree Bungalow, Swinderby, Lincoln
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Practitioners to join our team at our children’s residential home. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs, aiding them in living fulfilling, independent lives. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, accompanying individuals on community trips, and promoting their well-being.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals in their personal care, daily routines, and social development
- P Romoting independence and autonomy while fostering a trusting relationship
- Accompanying residents on outings (e.g., shopping, meals, appointments) using the company vehicle (aligned with staff license requirements)
- Contributing to the Meaningful Life Model through holistic support
Job Requirements
Legal & Practical Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence or have driven in the UK for 2+ years to use the company vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check required (fully funded by Kisimul).

Personal & Professional Qualifications
- Genuine passion for care and motivation to help others progress.
- Strong teamwork skills, resilience, and confidence in seeking support when needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Preferred: Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Services (or willingness to work towards it).
Hourly Rates (2024)
- Level 1: £12.71
- Level 2: £13.10
- Level 3 (experience): £13.60
Career Progression: Earn higher rates through our competency framework, with increased hourly pay tiering available.
