Children's Neurodevelopmental Team Manager
Role: Team Member – Children’s Neurodevelopment Manager
Primary Responsibility This role involves operational management of Children’s Neurodevelopment Teams, ensuring high-quality clinical services for individuals with ADHD and Autism. The position will provide:
- Assessments
- Appropriate treatment pathways
- Operational oversight of services within allocated resources
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Coordination
- Oversee the coordination and development of teams while maintaining safe, effective, and efficient service operations within the NHS and wider health/social care system.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure parity in addressing mental and physical health needs for families and individuals in need.
Leadership & Governance
- Visible operational and clinical leadership to align with qualifications and experience.
- Uphold and monitor clinical standards, ensuring they meet NHS benchmarks.
- Provide managerial supervision of teams, contributing to:
- Service planning under the directorship of Service Manager and Directorate Leads.
Strategic Contributions
- Represent the Service professionally in internal/external meetings, report writing, complaints handling, supporting multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive experience working at Band 6 or above in a clinical-supportive role.
- Proven track record in leads the care of neurodevelopmental teams (including ADHD and Autism).
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and resources in a high-pressure public sector environment.
Key Skills
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, stakeholder engagement).
- Proven leadership (ability to make transformative impact, drive change).
- Collaborative multi-disciplinary approach, including children’s health, autism specialists, primary care, social care.

- Effective time management and willingness to work across diverse Trust localities (includes regular travel).
