Childrens Night Life Practitioner

Night Life Practitioner – Children’s Residential Home

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join Kisimul at The Old Vicarage, Swinderby as a Night Life Practitioner! We’re seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated professional to provide vital support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.

Your role will involve assisting in daily activities, community outings, and ensuring fulfilling, independent lives for those in our care. A company vehicle is provided for transport to shops, meals, appointments, and leisure activities.


Key Details

  • Starting salaries:
    • Level 1: £12.85/hour
    • Level 2: £13.35/hour (for experience)
    • Level 3: £13.85/hour (for experience)
  • Progression: Opportunity to advance pay rates through our competency framework.
  • Joining bonus: £500 (£250 on start, £250 after probation).
  • Driving requirement: Full UK licence or 2+ years UK driving experience.
  • Flexible working patterns: Option to swap bank holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nurturing support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities (Hygiene, mobility, dietary needs).
  • Organise and accompany community trips (shopping, appointments, leisure).
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and promote well-being.
  • Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Passion for care and a desire to help others progress.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience, confidence to seek support when needed.
  • Fire Safety Certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • A Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services (or willingness to train).
  • Excellent communication and computer literacy.
  • DBS Check (funded by us).
