Night Support Worker - Children's Residential Services

Make a difference while the world sleeps.

We're looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers, Carers and Care Assistants to join our OFSTED-regulated Children's Service, supporting children and young people with complex disabilities to live happy, safe and fulfilling lives.

About the Role

As a Night Support Worker, you'll provide high-quality overnight care, helping children with personal care, moving and handling, medication, wellbeing checks and bedtime routines, while promoting dignity, independence and choice. You'll also ensure accurate record keeping and maintain a safe, nurturing home environment throughout the night.

About You

We're looking for people who:

  • Have experience in care, support work, residential childcare or a similar setting.
  • Are caring, patient, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional and complex needs.

We recruit based on values, however, if you have the following skills, we would be keen to speak with you:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • A level 3 qualification in childcare (or a willingness to complete, following probation).
  • Experience with non-verbal communication.
