Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge within paediatrics or seeking to develop your specialist skills in Children’s Physiotherapy?
We’re seeking an experienced Children’s Physiotherapist to join our well-established Children’s Physiotherapy team at Danestrete Health Centre, Stevenage, on a fixed-term basis.
About the Role
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides integrated Children's Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech & Language Therapy Services for families across the county. Our integrated service is jointly commissioned by health and education, allowing us to offer a seamless pathway of care from early years through to schools and specialist provisions.
As a Children’s Physiotherapist, you’ll provide interventions for young people aged 0-19 years across diverse environments such as:
- Homes
- Schools (including special schools)
- Clinics
Proposed interview date: 22nd July 2026*
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for children and young people with varied needs.
- Working within an innovative and collaborative Children and Young People’s Therapy service.
- Collaborating with therapists, educators, and care professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Participating in continuous professional development (CPD) and mentorship opportunities.
- Observing and shadowing colleagues during your induction to reflect our supportive and training-focused culture.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Physiotherapist with experience or a desire to work in paediatrics.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple settings (home, school clinics).
- Commitment to high standards of care and teamwork.
Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate experience or training in Children’s Physiotherapy.
- Experience in specialist paediatric settings (e.g., special schools, community clinics).
- Broad clinical skills from varied rotations.
