Residential Children’s Care

About Us

At Prosperity Children’s Services, we provide high-quality, child-centred residential care where children and young people feel safe, nurtured and supported to achieve positive outcomes. Our homes are grounded in strong relationships, therapeutic practice and clear, consistent leadership. We are committed to operating in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, with a clear ambition to achieve and sustain Ofsted Good and Outstanding judgements.

We are seeking a compassionate, confident and reflective Residential Manager to lead one of our children’s homes and inspire a culture of warmth, accountability and continuous improvement.

The Role

As Residential Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the children’s home. You will ensure that children receive safe, effective and therapeutic care that promotes their welfare, wellbeing and long-term outcomes.

You will provide strong, visible leadership to the staff team, embedding high standards of practice, safeguarding and compliance, while maintaining a warm, nurturing and homely environment. You will work closely with external professionals, placing authorities and internal colleagues to ensure the home operates effectively and meets regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, values-led leadership to the staff team, promoting a positive, child-centred culture.
  • Ensure the home consistently meets the requirements of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Lead, supervise and develop the staff team through regular supervision, appraisals and reflective practice.
  • Ensure effective staff deployment, rota management and safe staffing levels.
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating therapeutic, trauma-informed and relational practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
